About Us

The Kuringai Youth Orchestra (KYO) is a community youth orchestra based in Sydney's upper North Shore.  We are open to talented players from secondary school and beyond who are at least AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent, but Grade 7 for strings.  We are open for new player to audition and join throughout the year.

The aim of KYO is to provide local school and tertiary students with the experience of performing classical and contemporary orchestral music. The orchestra will be working on a range of music at rehearsals with the intention of performing in public concerts.

Rehearsals are at Ku-ring-gai Town Hall in Pymble on Thursday nights, during term time, from 6.30 - 9pm.  <Google Map>
